Sew and Stitch

Crafting Creativity One Stitch at a Time

In Sew and Stitch, children embark on a hands-on journey into the wonderful world of sewing! This after-school class teaches the basics of sewing, from threading a needle to stitching unique creations by hand.

I am their teacher, Miss Diana. I have been sewing since I was 5 years old and am passionate about giving that skill to children. What started out as making Barbie clothes and small pouches turned into a lifelong love for the craft, even spending a summer at the Copenhagen Fashion and Design School diving deeper into the technicalities. Nowadays I prefer to sew fun things like costumes, accessories, and toddler clothes for my friends.

Each week, students learn essential sewing techniques while working on fun and practical projects like pillows, accessories, or even small plush toys. Along the way, they’ll not only build fine motor skills but also discover the joy of creating something with their own two hands.

Why Sew and Stitch?

Mindful Crafting: Sewing fosters patience, problem-solving, and the satisfaction of creating something from scratch.

Practical Skills: Kids learn sewing fundamentals that boost confidence and focus.

Creativity in Action: Every project is a chance to personalize and bring their ideas to life.

I love watching creativity unfold and want to be a guide and support in your child’s sewing journey. I would also love to connect with you, the parents! If you’d like to connect please sign up below.
